High voltage cabinet electromagnetic lock is an important safety device, mainly used in high voltage cabinet, isolation cabinet, busbar cabinet, PT cabinet, transformer cabinet and other power equipment door lock. Its main function is to prevent personnel from straying into the live interval, so as to avoid high-voltage electric shock accidents. The electromagnetic lock works as follows:
Working conditions: The electromagnetic lock needs a power supply and can only be opened when there is no locking condition (that is, the device is not live). Under normal conditions, the opening of the electromagnetic lock requires the power supply and no blocking condition.
Emergency unlocking: In special circumstances, such as loss of voltage of electromagnet (no power supply) or emergency unlocking, special keys can be used to open the lock. The use of the emergency unlock key requires the authorization of the professional responsible person and must be professionally trained before use.
Working with a live display: The electromagnetic lock is used in conjunction with a live display to detect the presence of high voltage through the live display. If the device is charged, the locking contact (KA) opens, the loop is not working, and the electromagnetic lock cannot operate, so as to protect the safety of personnel.
The advantage of the electromagnetic lock is its simple and reliable locking mechanism, but in the absence of uninterruptible power supply (UPS) support, the cabinet door may not be able to open when the high voltage cabinet is powered off, then the role of the electromagnetic lock is limited. In order to give full play to the safety role of the electromagnetic lock, it is recommended to be equipped with an uninterruptible power supply to ensure that the cabinet door can still be reliably unlocked in an emergency
